 Hello Hello! I'm finally back home, which means I can write on a computer again. Thank god. That means, less typoes, Fanfiction.net formatting fixes, and hopefully faster and better stories. For now though, I'm super jet lagged and need to sleep. But there is a lot to do! I'll be posting Chapter 6 on Monday, it might come a little later than normal due to me still needing time to edit some stuff but it will come. Next, I will be posting a DND one-shot on either Tuesday or Wednesday. Depending on the reception, it will continue with 2-3 more parts. It will be part of a series with the Monopoly one-shot. Finally, I will also be doing some more stuff for this blog and for social media. Why? Two reasons: I want to write a lot and interact with y'all more.  Hello! It’s morning somewhere in the world! I would like to say thank you to everyone for the love for the one shot. I did not expect just a one shot to receive nearly 200 kudos in a day, tons of comments, and even some bookmarks. Man I’m truly blessed. I’m glad yall enjoyed it since I mostly wrote that chapter under an hour. The next chapter for that story is also done and should go up later today or tomorrow. Regarding if I continue it, maybe? We’ll see as I don’t think there is much I can do with it besides a brief comedy story . At most I can think of is 5 short chapters.  Regarding these one shots, I’m thinking of doing one new one shot per week and if the reception is good, I’ll add more parts during the week. It will help me practice writing and also prevent burnout of only focusing on one chapter. I can also finally use the backlog of comedy stored in my brain.  Hello! Y’all really liked that chapter! I’m glad you guys are liking it because sometimes i always get that feeling, ‘what if I don’t write well this time.’ Or maybe I’m a fraud. Or some weird echo of imposter syndrome. It’s funny considering how 99% of the time I feel like a god. Which by the way, great way to live life by the by. It’s like you’re on crack 24/7 without the crack. My weird mental state aside, I really do appreciate the support I get every week. By next week I should be back home and my typoes should be non-existent (I swear to fuck if it’s not). By then I might actually consider releasing more writing per week. It should still be one chapter at least per week but there might be more opportunities for a second chapter or even one-shots every week.  Hello! Guess who had to split a chapter in two, this asshole! I made the decision because I felt I wasn’t giving the character the justice they deserve. I want more time, and more words, to show the interactions in a more interesting way. As a result, chapter 5 will split and become 5 and 6. I think this will also help with some pacing problems I was thinking may come up. Plus, more fun and dialogue for me to write! Ah fun fun fun!  Hello!  It’s been a bit, sorry for the lack of updates, traveling is peaking. This shouldn’t affect the update on Monday but it’s why I’ve been a bit slow on blog updates and comments. Speaking of, I’m still astounded every time I post. Like seriously, the kudos increase by 100 each time and bookmarks by 10-20. As a result, I feel incredibly motivated to improve. Which leads me to what will make me improve: writing more diverse stories and challenges. I’m currently writing stuff for online competitions, under a pen name, and will hopefully submit those by the end of the month. They won’t interfere with the update schedule, again I prioritize the story above all, but it should help me get real experience seeing how my writing stacks.  Hello hello! Once again I am astounded by the interest each chapter gets. It seriously makes me wanna lock in every day. But I digress, I’ve been reading the comments as they file in (I’ll be responding to all of them in due time don’t you worry) and the general consensus is that the chapter hit all the marks I wanted. It really worried me about the non-canon backstory addition. It’s a little pet-peeve of mine when I see additions to certain characters that are meant to advocate for more emotional complexity. But they also completely derail the character and make them more sympathetic than they probably actually are. Draco in leather pants is the trope that usually results from this. It’s not bad per se, but there are always costs and benefits to doing anything. One commenter pointed it out promptly: we get a more complex Anastasia but we reduce that “greed” of hers. Of course, we can rectify that by working the backstory into her greed even more. But that requires time, effort, a...

 Chapter 4 is ready to post and will be posted tomorrow. It’s probably the longest chapter I’ve written and I’m very proud of it as it hits all the marks I want in the fic: comedy, emotional moments, and intimate connections. All necessary ingredients to make my gut satisfied. In other news, the other chapters are taking a bit because I’m trying to figure out the pacing for certain story beats. I don’t want to rush the story when I can increase character interactions for better development. But there will be another chapter next week! Unless my brain goes on hyper drive again which could happen, I actually often write chapters in like a few hours each day.  Hello!  Chapter 4 is pretty much done, besides some last quality checks, it’ll be ready by Monday. Chapter 5 is also halfway through writing. Chapters 6 and 7 are currently in planning and outlining. I’m excited to see how people react to the these next four chapters. They hold some of the moments I’ve been planning since the beginning of the fic so I’m excited to see how fun they’ll read. In other news, I’ve been working on improving my characterization as I feel my love for comedy has been biting into more meaningful moments. The comedy will still stay but it won’t be overwhelming. I’ve learned the problem is that I write like a crack addict. Where I look at a scene and I’m like, “you’d know what would be really fucking funny.” It’s like that one scene from spiderman where the goblin mask calls to Norman Osborne.  Phenomenal! God I love writing. The reactions to chapter 3 have been great. So many people interested and even discussing theories, critiquing certain choices, and offering their own two cents. Today is a very good day. Some extra stuff to talk about. I made a mistake when doing chapter 3, I had a bandit use minya which is a fairly rare spell. The main reason I did, besides allow Subaru a way to kill the guy, is that it was funny to me having another rare yin magic user ineffectually fighting Subaru. He was meant to be a sort of dark reflection of Subaru: loud mouthed, yin magic, uses a whip, leader type, and generally weak. He’s what Subaru could have become if he was more scrupulous and less smart, sort of like those one piece good ending bad ending memes.  Anyway I forgot minya was made by echidna, meaning the only way this bandit could have learned it is if he learned from her or Beatrice. Which is a stretch for suspension of disbelief. Comments pointed it out and I agree...

 Hello again! Just wanted to make a quick post about chapter 3 being posted! This chapter will be a little shorter than usual, around a 1000 less words. But I think I ended it at a good point, any more or less would not satisfy me. Fight scenes are always interesting to me. You have to reach a balance between scenery and action, otherwise a reader may get bored or overwhelmed. In addition, you have to make sure whoever is fighting, is doing so in a way that makes sense. Subaru isn’t a fighter so he has to fight dirty and with his head. Hopefully I hit both that balance and the right characterization but who can say. At the very least, my main hope is the chapter is fun and adds to the anabaru dynamic. Chapter 4 will be posted next week. Whether chapter 5 will be posted in the same week is up for debate, depends on how I feel the development is going.  Hello hello! Chapter 3 is practically done, it just needs more quality checks. Chapter 4 is halfway there. The dialogue is mostly done, I just have to figure out what happens in the background. Man, I wish someone told me writing was this fun ages ago!  Now regarding future chapters, I have a general outline, chapters 5-10 planned out, and the rest has rough plans and snippets. I’m keeping to a one chapter at least per week, as I mentioned in the fic, but if that changes I’ll let yall know. I’ll be active daily on this blog, so you’ll know if I’m dead or not. The reason is, I want to get used to a routine first before dividing up my time, see what makes me the most efficient and won’t kill me.  Been spending the whole morning responding to all the new comments. Holy shit, it’s only been two chapters but I’m being blasted by positivity. I’m currently two chapters ahead of schedule and I’m aiming to refine them until I feel good. Once done, I usually publish it immediately. Im not going to rush quantity over quality but this does motivate the shit out of me not going to lie. We’ll see if the next chapters will be posted faster than usual. Ah my brain trembles!

 Ever since I started writing, I keep waking up in the middle of the night with ideas. Every time I sleep, dreams come to me of stories that I just want to explore. And every time I wake up. I just want to keep writing. Honestly, I’m scared. That this is all so temporary. A fad or adrenaline. Or that if I fail I’ll give up. Because every time I read through my bits of stories? I feel so happy. It’s so weird. I just, I don’t want this to go away you know? I don’t know what to do. I’ll keep trying to go to sleep in the meantime. Goodnight

 Hello hello!  It’s very exciting to me to see how much traction the first chapter I wrote got! Already 100 kudos and tons of comments. Took me so long to reply to them all. And that’s just with Ao3! I’m excited to see how people like the next chapters. I’m thinking a chapter every few days or at least every week shall fill that hole in people’s souls.  Hello Hello! Probably these posts will be sent into the void until people start getting interested in what I write. Nonetheless, ya boi ain't a bitch and a promise is a promise. So this here will be the start of fanfic updates that will continue as I update certain stories I write. For this, I've written a story from Re:Zero detailing a slow burn romance between Subaru and Anastasia. The reason I started writing this is multifaceted but can ultimately can be summarized as such: I got bored. No seriously. I was reading all of these re:forgotten fics that were left dead in the water. WHICH WAS FRUSTRATING. And out of spite, I decided to try my hand at writing the same kind of fic to scratch that itch in my brain. Unfortunately that itch also included more Subaru/Anastasia which was dumb.
